CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The body of a second woman found inside an Ashland home this week has been identified.
The case began Tuesday when a woman dialed 911 to report she'd been abducted. Ashland police went through the vacant home on Covert Court, and found the woman who dialed 911, the man now arrested in the case, and two bodies.
One of the bodies was identified as 43-year-old Stacey Stanley, of Ashland.
The second body has been identified as missing woman Elizabeth Griffith.
Her friend, Edna Louise Boals, worried it was going to be Griffith. Griffith has not been seen since Aug. 16, when she was captured on surveillance cameras at a local Aldis.
"We all love her," she said.
Shawn Grate, arrested and charged in the case, later led police to a third body in Mansfield.
Boals claims that Griffith dated Grate at one time.
