BEREA, OH (WOIO) - Wide receiver Josh Gordon is entering an in-patient rehabilitation facility, according to the Browns.
"I've decided that I need to step away from pursuing my return to the Browns and my football career," he said.
Executive VP of Football Operations Sashi Brown says the Browns support Gordon's decision.
"His singular focus must be on his own health," he said. "We want nothing more than for Josh to be successful personally and professionally."
Gordon would have been eligible to return to the field for the Browns in Week 5 against the New England Patriots after a suspension.
