SUMMIT COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - An apparent incident of carbon monoxide poisoning has left two people dead in Green.

Police say officers were sent to a home Thursday morning in the 5700 block of Buck Trail after a visitor called 911. The caller reportedly found Carl Hill, 57, and Soncha Hill, 69, in distress. Authorities said they arrived to find the pair dead inside an indoor pool area.

The victims are believed to be a married couple who live in the home.

The deaths are being investigated as possible accidental carbon monoxide poisoning, authorities said.

Brooke Taylor, a neighbor, described the couple as active and helpful people.

"This is a family that was very generous very welcoming, very kind," Taylor said. "When something like this happens it's just very shocking and tragic."
