MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - A Middleburg Heights Junior High School teacher has been issued a written reprimand after he allegedly gave students an inappropriate math problem.

A student took a photo of the algebra lesson their class received from their teacher Daniel Rapp. One problem read: "Tony can send five texts and three nudes in 19 minutes. He could also send three texts and one nude in nine minutes. How long would it take him to send one text and one nude?"

The student's father alerted the school about the problem. Other parents say this is not the first time Rapp has come under fire for his words.

The Bordas family of Middleburg Heights has some misgivings about the use of the word "nude" as part of the algebra problem.

"Middle school? Yeah, it's inappropriate. For a math question? Definitely, yes," said Madalina Bordas. "Very inappropriate."

When asked what she would do if her teacher gave her a question like that, Bordas said she'd be shocked.

"I would probably go to the principal and asked, and be concerned about it -- take it to my parents," she said.

Superintendent Michael Sheppard says that the school district conducted a full investigation into the matter and that Rapp is still teaching.
