(OHIO) WOIO - The Nebraska State Patrol said an Ohio family helped save a cat on Interstate 80 in Nebraska on Sunday.

A trooper said the family saw the kitten get thrown out of a moving car on the interstate.

The investigator said the Ohio family stopped to pick the cat up.

Trooper Goltz got in contact with the family and transported the kitten to the Aurora animal shelter in Nebraska.

The family and the trooper said the cat's new name is "Tumbles", The post on Facebook has more than 2,300 likes.
