CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - LeBron James fans who are fans of the player no matter who he plays for may exchange a No. 23 Cleveland Cavaliers jersey for a Los Angeles Lakers one for free if it was recently purchased, thanks to an insurance program.

Fans can also exchange the Cavs James jersey for one of another Cleveland player.

James announced July 1 he is planning to sign with the Lakers.

The Fanatics Jersey Assurance Program allows customers to receive a free replacement jersey if an active professional player switches teams within 90 days of purchase.

So, those who purchased a James jersey since April 2 can exchange it for free within the next 14 days.

Those who are interested can click here for a claim form to start the process.
