CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Police Homicide Unit is investigating a double stabbing that left one woman dead and put a man in the hospital.

According to Cleveland Police, officers responded to the 3600 block of East 103rd Street at 1:15 a.m. Thursday after a fight at a Fourth of July barbecue spun out of control.

Police say a man in his 20s stabbed an 18-year-old woman, Ronisha Orr, and cut the right side of a 38-year-old man.

The suspect then robbed the young woman and fled.

Orr, who was celebrating her July 5 birthday, passed away in a woman's arms at the corner of East 103rd and Sandusky Avenue.

Members of the homicide unit and Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office responded and cordoned off the crime scene.

The suspect and the second victim have not been identified.
