YOUNGSTOWN, OH (WOIO) - A man is in custody for his role in a human trafficking ring that reportedly involves at least 80 female victims.
Mahoning County court records indicate that Ronald Hellman, a 50-year-old Youngstown resident, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 3 on multiple counts of felonious compelling prostitution.
According to CBS affiliate WKBN, investigators believe Hellmen exploited more than 80 females, including at least one underage victim, that were used in the sex-for-hire ring.
Hellman was arraigned during his first court appearance at the Mahoning County courthouse on Monday. His bond was set at $100,000.
Hellman is expected to appear again in court on Wednesday. Additional charges are expected.
