CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Browns are making headlines with aggressive draft picks, a hit cable TV show and more national television appearances. Now, Cleveland 19 is making headlines by securing the rights to air two more Browns games in 2018.

The first new game added to the CBS broadcast schedule includes a prime-time matchup on WOIO with the New York Jets on Thursday, Sept. 20. Pre-game coverage begins with a special live Tailgate 19 at 7 p.m., kickoff at 8:30 p.m. and a special live postgame Fifth Quarter upon conclusion.

The second game is a late season matchup with the Super Bowl contending Denver Broncos, with a special airdate of Saturday, Dec. 15, time TBD by the NFL. Live pregame and postgame coverage by Cleveland 19 News will also be announced at a later date.

"WOIO has been the broadcast home for Browns games for decades, and this year is no exception, as we'll carry 11 of the Browns 16 regular season games," said Erik Schrader, WOIO/WUAB vice president and general manager.  "It's one-stop shopping for the most passionate fans in football. Our broadcast schedule and our Browns coverage on broadcast and digital platforms will deliver what the fans want to see. And just in case they make it to the Super Bowl, we've got that this season, too!"
