CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Students from Saint Joseph Academy in Cleveland spent part of their summer on a service trip to the Dominican Republic, doing everything from painting homes to helping at a medical clinic and running a vacation Bible school.

"The Sisters Of Saint Joseph strive to be in relationship with God, with one another, and with creation and one of the ways we live that out as a community is through the service that we do," said Kristen Pungitore, Saint Joseph Academy Service Coordinator.

"We believe these experiences are really important and impactful for our students because no matter what they grow up to do or what they study, these experiences help them to become people who care about the world and care about others, and we believe that's what a Saint Joseph Academy graduate should do."
