BAY VILLAGE, OH (WOIO) - The FBI continues to search for a child killer who killed Amy Mihaljevic almost 30 years ago.
Amy disappeared from the Bay Square Shopping Plaza after school in 1989. Her body was found in a rural Ashland County field about four months later.

The unsolved case has haunted many for decades, including Bill Huffman, who hasn't forgotten the girl.

In the home of Bill Huffman is a makeshift studio, the walls covered with photos and newspaper clipping of the mystery that's yet to be solved.

The investigative journalist was just 10 years old in 1989 when the crime happened, the same age as Amy.

"It was just one of those cases that just stuck with me," he said.

So he started a pod cast, "Who Killed Amy Mihaljevic?"

For the last several months he's been interviewing investigators and those involved with Amy's case, hoping to find new clues and get answers. He says one of this most difficult conversations was with Amy's father, Mark.

"It's one thing to see a missing poster and all the things but to meet the father of the daughter. Mark's a great guy. I'd like nothing more than to see this case closed," said Huffman.

There are 10 episodes and every Friday Huffman will release one weekly, up until the anniversary of the day Amy went missing, October 27.

"I want people to think about what they were doing in 1989 as well as what they can do today," said Huffman. "Any little bit of extra information any tips that come in that can help from this pod cast then it's served it's purpose," he said.
