Dad gets 10 years in Thanksgiving shooting death of son

CANTON, Ohio - A Canton man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Friday in the Thanksgiving Day shooting death of his son.

Russell Huff II, 50, claimed that the death of his 26-year-old son Russell Huff III was self-defense.

On Thursday, a jury convicted Huff of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated assault.

Authorities say both men were drinking and the shooting erupted during an argument.
