Little Debbie Nutty Bars Recalled in Ohio

COLLEGEDALE, Tenn. (AP) - McKee Foods Corp. is recalling packages of Little Debbie Nutty Bars in Ohio and five other states because an ingredient may contain small metal particles, the company announced Wednesday.
The Collegedale-based company said the snacks were distributed Monday through Wednesday in Ohio, and in parts of the Chicago area.
McKee also recalled the snacks in Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia after they were put in vending machines last Thursday and Friday.
The particles were detected through internal quality checks. No consumer complaints have been made.
In Ohio, the recalled products are 12 oz. cartons containing 12 bars, twin wrapped.
The cartons have these codes: Guaranteed Fresh, APR 01 2007, 01302093; Guaranteed Fresh, APR 01 2007, 01312091; Guaranteed Fresh, APR 02 2007, 02012092; Guaranteed Fresh, APR 01 2007, 01312092; Guaranteed Fresh, APR 02 2007, 02012091.
