Use Of Deadly Force Team Investigates Police Shooting

Cleveland, OH - Police are investigating the use of deadly force after officers were involved in an early morning shooting on Ohlman Road around 4:10 a.m.

Authorities were called by a resident at 11512 Ohlman Road early Saturday morning because of a suspicious van parked in a driveway.

Police approached the van and observed two males inside, the men put the vehicle in reverse and crashed into the police cruiser at a high rate of speed. One of the police officers discharged his or her firearm at the van just before the van took off and drove across several lawns.

Officers pursued the van for two-three blocks before the men bailed from the van and took off on foot. Police attempted to chase after the men on foot, but lost both suspects.

There have been no sightings of the suspects anywhere, and no evidence that either of the males were struck by the bullet fired off from the officer's firearm.

The Use Of Deadly Force Team is investigating.
