Edwards To Give $1 Million In Scholarships To Cleveland Schools

CLEVELAND (AP) - Cleveland Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards has pledged one (m) million dollars in college scholarships for eighth grade students in Cleveland.

The Browns say the scholarships will go to 100 students who keep at least a two-point-five grade point average through high school.

The students will also volunteer for 15 hours of community service each year and will not be allowed unexcused absences.

Edwards is scheduled to announce the program tomorrow -- along with the 100 students and Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson -- at Lincoln-West High School.
