KENT, Ohio - A water main break in Kent means that residents there will have to boil their water before drinking or cooking, Action News reported.
A break in a 12-inch water main caused a depressurization of the water distribution system in certain sections of the city. Service has been restored in the effected areas, but the water should not be used for drinking or food preparation until further notice.
City officials said that they are testing the water and will let people know when it's safe to drink. Water test procedures take a minimum of 30 hours after service is restored.
