Girl Admits In Court To Being Dancer In Adult Nightclub

CANTON, Ohio (AP) - A 17-year-old North Canton girl has been confined to her home by the Stark County Family Court after she acknowledged to dancing at an adult entertainment club.

Kris Bates, Stark County juvenile court prosecutor, said the girl confessed to sneaking out of her house on the night of July 11 and dancing at the Porcelain Dollhouse in Jackson Township, near Canton, for customers in a private room.

A complaint filed in court said the nightclub is advertised as an exclusive gentlemen's cabaret where alcohol is served.

The girl's mother found out about the dancing and reported the matter to North Canton police. Officers arrested the teen Monday.

Family Court Administrator Rick DeHeer said the girl apparently violated a previous court order requiring good behavior. She was held overnight at the Multi-County Juvenile Attention Center before admitting in court on Tuesday to the dancing.

Magistrate Ali France ordered that she wear an electronic tracking bracelet and that she not leave her home without the court's permission until her sentencing on Sept. 18.

Bates said that the Jackson Township police are responsible for investigating to see if the Porcelain Dollhouse violated any laws.

Jackson Township Police Chief Harley Neftzer said his investigators are looking into it.

A man who identified himself only as nightclub's owner told The Repository that no one under 18 was allowed to perform there. He also confirmed that the club features topless performers.
