Ohio Truck Crash Kills 5 Cows

BEAVERDAM, Ohio (AP) - The State Highway Patrol says five cows were killed when a semi carrying the animals overturned in western Ohio.

A patrol dispatcher in Lima (LY'-muh) says the truck was traveling on U.S. Route 30 near Beaverdam around 8:30 Monday evening when it went off the right side of the road and rolled over.

The patrol says the truck was driven by 27-year-old Shane Stahl of McBain, Mich. Stahl was taken to a Lima hospital, which released him after treatment.

The dispatcher says the crash remains under investigation.
