Report: Donald Trump Housing Jennifer Hudson and Family

Real estate mogul Donald Trump is reaching out to Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson in her time of need.

People.com says Trump has been putting up Hudson and some of her relatives at the Trump International Hotel & Tower for a complimentary stay ever since Hudson's mother and brother were found murdered at their Chicago home last month.

Hudson's seven-year-old nephew was found murdered in a parked SUV a few days later. Of Hudson, Trump told "People" at an event on Monday night, quote, "She's a great girl. They are very safe."

William Balfour, the estranged husband of Hudson's sister, is considered a person of interest in the case. Though he has not been charged with the murders, he is being held in custody for parole violation.

On Monday, the Illinois Prisoner Review Board refused to release Balfour from custody citing witness statements that suggest he had a gun that matched the weapon involved in the murders. His next parole hearing is set for December 3rd.
