Man Surrenders In Probe Of Bicycle Shooter

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) - A man surrendered on an attempted murder warrant in the investigation of a cyclist who shot at four people in two suburban communities.

Yusef DeJarnette (composite, right), 24, surrendered Wednesday to police in nearby Shaker Heights, his hometown.

Four people have been shot at in the last two weeks in Beachwood and Cleveland Heights. One was wounded in the left side and arm, a second was wounded several times in the back and the gunman missed two other people.

Police said the victims apparently were selected randomly. None was robbed, according to police, who didn't specify a possible motive.

Police identified the suspect, who recently bought a rare brand of bullets for a .380-caliber gun, by searching listings of recent gun purchases. Shell casings from a .380-caliber gun were found at each shooting scene.
