Lake Erie Officials Worried About Killer Fish

CLEVELAND – A fish fight is heating up, Action News reported.

At stake are the Perch and Walleye that so many northeast Ohioans love to catch in Lake Erie.

Lake officials are very worried that the killer Asian Carp could dive in and take out the already mentioned favorites.

They are urging the government to beef up fish barriers in the Chicago Shipping Channel. That's the only way to keep the killer Carp from jumping into the Great Lakes.

The huge fish has already eaten up other fish in rivers and ponds.

The barrier would zap the killer fish, ultimately keeping them at bay.
