Celiac disease is injury to the intestines that is being triggered by ingestion of gluten in our diets! it's kind of like an allergic reaction to gluten. Testing and diagnosing for Celiac disease can be done by blood test for patients not on a gluten-free diet and by DNA test for patients that are on a gluten-free diet. Gluten is any foods with wheat, barley and rye. Some foods, like oats, can be contaminated if packaged in facility with these ingredients. Recommend avoiding food that don't say gluten-free on the package.
