DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A window washer was plucked from the side of a downtown Cleveland building in a dramatic rescue Monday.

Firefighters performed a rope rescue at East 9th and Theresa Lane. They were called to the scene around 10:15 a.m.

It's believed an equipment malfunction left the worker stranded about 13 stories up.

Firefighters went on the roof and lowered him down.

He was not injured and went back to work.
