Dead whale washes up on Outer Banks beach shore

COROLLA, NC (WWBT) - A humpack whale was found stranded on a beach in the Outer Banks this past weekend.

Corolla Beach Rescue posted the images to Facebook and asked visitors to “show respect” as wildlife officials examined the whale.

There were no signs of scavenging or trauma on the whale, WAVY reported.

This is the second whale to wash up on the beach in the past week.
