Amber Alert canceled after Virginia girl, 9, found safe

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WWBT) - An Amber Alert issued for a 9-year-old Virginia girl was canceled after police said she was found safe, WWBT reports.

Brielle Alexis Maree Silver, 9, was believed to be in extreme danger after police said she was abducted Saturday morning. She was last seen in Newport News, Virginia, and an Amber Alert was issued.

The Newport News Police Department announced that Brielle was found safe and unharmed in Georgia, as of 1:30 a.m. Sunday. She will now be reunited with her family.

Police earlier said Brielle was believed to have been abducted by Bethany Renae Dawn Gould. The woman was found with the 9-year-old and will be extradited to Virginia.
