Jameis Winston named AFC Offensive Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Browns quarterback Jameis Winston has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for games played October 24-28.

Last Sunday, Winston made his first start in two years, and led the Browns to a 29-24 win over the Ravens.

Winston completed 27 of 41 passes for 334 yards with three touchdowns, zero interceptions and a 115.3 rating. His yardage total led all NFL players in Week 8.

This is Winston’s third career weekly award, he was NFC Offensive Player of the Week in Week 1 in 2016 and earned the honor again in Week 4 in 2019.

Winston is the first Browns quarterback to win AFC Offensive Player of the Week since Baker Mayfield in Week 7 in 2020 and the first Browns player to win the award since WR Amari Cooper in Week 16 in 2023.
