LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE/Gray News) - An 18-year-old has been charged with the murder of a 15-year-old girl who was found stabbed to death earlier this month.

Louisville Police said Isabella Verbaere was found stabbed several times on March 1. Isabella died before she could be taken to the hospital.

Officers later detained 18-year-old Kaden Seviour and he was charged with murder.

According to an arrest citation, a witness told police that she had heard Seviour and Isabella in the bedroom. Isabella asked to be let out of the room and tried to open the door but could not. The witness went to the back of the house and saw Isabella on the ground, and Seviour had jumped out of the window.

According to the public defender, Seviour has autism.

He is currently in jail on a $250,000 cash bond.
