Convicted Killer Bobby Cutts Wants Supreme Court To Hear Appeal

CANTON, OH (WOIO) - The man convicted of killing his pregnant lover is going straight to the top in his appeal for a new trial - the United States Supreme Court.
Lawyers for Bobby Cutts, Jr. tell 19 Action News the appeal was filed earlier this month. They believe the jury was unfair, prosecutors engaged in misconduct and the verdicts handed down contradicted one another.
Cutts was convicted in 2008 of killing 26-year-old Jessie Davis and their unborn daughter inside her home. Prosecutors argued that he killed Davis and unborn girl, whom was already named Chloe, in order to avoid making child support payments.
He is currently service a life sentence and is not eligible for parole until he's served 57-years behind bars.
