Melt opens in Public Square Monday
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Melt Bar & Grilled is opening its new location Public Square today.
The grilled cheese-focused restaurant has been a Cleveland staple for years, and it's only fitting that they would join the newly renovated downtown hot spot.
The new restaurant will be located at Cafe 200 Public Square in the Huntington Building. Similar to other smaller locations at Progressive Field and Case Western Reserve University, the quick service concept will offer full and half versions of 10 of the restaurants famous sandwiches, including the Dude Abides, the Cleveland Cheese Steak and the chorizo and potato sandwich.
"Great things are happening downtown," said Matt Fish, Melt owner. "We're thrilled to open in the heart of Public Square in one of the most iconic buildings in Cleveland! This space has truly been reborn, and we're excited to be a part of the positive momentum that's reshaping our city."
The new location will be open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cafe 200 is open at 7 a.m. for breakfast, and, although Melt currently won't be open that early, they are considering crafting five or six breakfast sandwiches to serve starting next year.
Cafe 200 will also include Italian restaurant Mercato, American-style restaurant Urban Kitchen, coffee shop Solstice Roasters and deli B+B.
