1 dead after vehicle fire in Ashtabula County; OSHP investigating

GENEVA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) is investigating after someone was found dead in a vehicle fire early Sunday morning.

According to a release from OSHP, troopers were called to Lake Road just east of Countyline Road just after 1 a.m.

Troopers say a green 2014 Chevrolet Cruze was fully engulfed in flames.

When the fire was put out, someone was found dead in the driver’s seat of the car, according to OSHP.

Troopers have not confirmed the identity of the victim and are still investigating.
