Nearly 200 people attend funeral for 10-year-old who died by suicide after ‘relentless bullying’
GREENFIELD, Ind. (WTHR) - Community members came together to pay their respects to a boy who most of them had never met but were moved by his story.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday at the Brandywine Church for 10-year-old Sammy Teuscha, a fourth grader who died by suicide, last month.
Family, friends and community members gathered to remember Sammy.
His parents said he was subjected to “relentless bullying.”
More than 100 motorcycles also participated in the service, driving side-by-side to the church.
After the service, the boy’s uncles and older brothers carried his casket out of the church and placed it into the hearse.
Those same motorcyclists followed the procession to a Greenfield cemetery, where Sammy was laid to rest.
Family and classmates surrounded the boy’s casket and a pastor read a final prayer.
