CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -Melt Bar and Grilled founder and Chef, Matt Fish says his restaurant has gone through a rebirth.

“It’s been reimagined, re-energized. Melt Bar and Grilled is back. We are back in our Lakewood roots. Back home in Lakewood. We’ve done a lot of work to the space a lot of work to the menu,” he said.

They closed down all but the original location after having more than a dozen restaurants in the franchise at one point.

Fish is back working behind the line open to close every day now to focus on quality and service.

“There’s a lot of the same and a lot of different. That’s purposeful. We wanted to leave a lot of things from the old Melt for people that have grown up with Melt and love Melt. but we also wanted to upgrade things and do things better. So better service quality, better atmosphere certainly better food quality. Melt Bar and Grilled is better than it’s ever been,” he said.

This week on Cleveland Cooks Fish shows us how they now make a Cleveland Cheesesteak sandwich. It’s been on the menu for more than a dozen years but they’re made some changes and it remains one of their most popular menu items.
