MOGADORE, Ohio (WOIO) - A Portage County vehicle pursuit ended in Mogadore Wednesday afternoon.

The Portage County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a pursuit that started in Mahoning County, officials say.

The sheriff’s office confirmed that the chase entered Portage County via I-76 and the Portage Aggressive Crime Enforcement Unit (PACE) located the car in Suffield Township.

Deputies confirmed the PACE unit pursued the car through Suffield Township, Hartville, Brimfield Township and Mogadore, reaching speeds over 100 mph.

Stop sticks were successfully deployed by a deputy in Mogadore, officials say, puncturing the front driver-side tire.

The suspect vehicle did not stop despite the punctured tire, officials say, and a PIT maneuver was used to end the pursuit.

Deputies confirmed the chase ended on South Cleveland Avenue and Albrecht Avenue.
