Andrew Berry calls Kevin Stefanski “part of the solution”

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - There’s no denying that the Browns have had a disappointing season so far. Sitting at 2-7, they have already shifted between three quarterbacks, but the most troubling aspect has been the lack of offensive production.

“Shared ownership,” said Berry. “It really is shared ownership. We’re capable of playing better; we should play better. As I said, we’re going to make the adjustments necessary to improve our performance throughout the next eight games. Every organization wants to finish strong, and that’s no different for us. Look, we can’t change the past—we can’t change the first nine games—but we do have control over the next eight, and that’s our focus moving forward.”

Despite all the offseason changes meant to catapult this offense to another level, everything seems to have fallen short. With Ken Dorsey now calling plays, the offense still struggles to find any consistency.

“I think there are a variety of factors,” Berry continued. “There’s always a bit of a transition cost when you make changes, we’ve had guys in and out of the lineup, but honestly, we haven’t played disciplined football. We shoot ourselves in the foot.”

Both Andrew Berry and Ken Dorsey are in the first year of their contract extensions. However, with one of the worst records in the league, virtually everyone’s future on the roster and coaching staff could be in jeopardy—including Kevin Stefanski.

“There are 13 coaches in the history of the sport who have won the Coach of the Year award multiple times. Ten of them went to a Super Bowl or NFL Championship, six of them won one, seven are in the Hall of Fame, and he’s the second fastest to do it. Kevin is an outstanding coach, and he’s part of the solution.”

We did not hear from players today, as the team is taking a few days off for the bye week. After that, it’s back to business to conquer the last eight remaining games—starting with the New Orleans Saints.
