17-year-old killed in motorcycle crash in Wayne County

WAYNE COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - Ohio troopers say a 17-year-old boy died early Tuesday in a motorcycle crash in Wayne County.

The vicitim has been identified by the highway patrol as Nathan D. Coblentz from Holmesville.

Troopers say the single-vehicle crash happened around 2:22 a.m. on Graber Road (County Road 159) east of Fredericksburg Road (County Road 501.)

Coblentz was operating a white 2005 Suzuki GSXR600 motorcycle when troopers say he drove off the right side of the roadway.

The highway patrol says during the crash, the 17-year-old struck an embankment and then a group of pine trees.

South Central EMS took him to Wooster Hospital, where he died, according to a news release.

The highway patrol says Coblentz was wearing a helmet.

Impairment is not a suspected factor in the crash, which remains under investigation, according to troopers.
