People without power as snow storms hits Northeast Ohio

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The winter weather is also impacting utility companies in Northeast Ohio like Cleveland Public Power, FirstEnergy and AEP Ohio.

As of 11:30 a.m. Thursday, the storm has knocked out power for almost 2,800 customers statewide.

When low temperatures and power outages combine, people should take extra precautions to stay safe. Wear extra layers, use blankets and block drafts from windows or doors if possible.
