Browns’ Myles Garrett returns to field after leaving with eye injury

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett exited the game with 4:46 left in the first half with an eye injury.

Update: Garrett has returned from the locker room and is back in the game.

The injury happened during Patrick Mahomes’ 6-yard touchdown pass to Noah Gray, when left tackle Joe Thurney made contact with Garrett’s facemask.

Garrett quickly threw off his helmet and fell down on the field, rolling around in pain.

Mahomes stood near Garrett and called over for help.

Medical staff assisted Garrett as he walked off the field as he held a towel over his left eye.

The Browns said Garrett’s return is questionable at this time.

Garrett needs just a half sack to reach 100 for his career.
