How this nonprofit fights food waste by feeding those in need

(InvestigateTV) — Here’s some food for thought: 47 million people in the U.S. go hungry each year, including one in five children.

Despite that, 145 billion pounds of food wind up in landfills. Nearly half of that total comes from businesses.

When a woman saw her local bakery throw out bagels during the pandemic, she started salvaging them for frontline workers.

Today, her effort continues to rise, surpassing an incredible milestone.
