U.S. Marshals arrest man wanted for murder in downtown Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The U.S. Marshals arrested a 24-year-old man Thursday morning who was wanted for a deadly shooting in downtown Cleveland in December.

Deshon Baker was taken into custody in the 27000 block of Sidney Dr. in Euclid.

According to Cleveland police, Baker and Simajah Harris, 24, were arguing outside the Frozen Daiquiri Bar on Bolivar Road on Dec. 28, 2024 when Baker fired a gun, striking Harris.

Harris was driven by private transportation to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Baker is now charged with aggravated murder.
