Alliance Police arrest aggravated robbery suspect who posed as Amazon delivery driver

ALLIANCE, Ohio (WOIO) - Alliance Police officers arrested an aggravated robbery suspect Thursday who allegedly posed as an Amazon delivery driver to enter a home.

According to a Facebook post, detectives arrested Steven S. Dackiewicz, 60, of Chardon, for felony aggravated robbery from an incident back in December 2024.

Police said that on Dec. 7, 2024, Dackiewicz posed as a uniformed Amazon delivery driver with a fake package to gain entry into a home in the 2300 block of South Linden Avenue.

After he entered the home, he brandished a pistol and demanded cash from the victims before fleeing.

After an investigation, an arrest warrant was issued and detectives located Dackiewicz in Chardon.

Alliance Police also clarified that he does not work for Amazon,
