Gas prices rise in Northeast Ohio

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Gas prices are up 13 cents in Northeast Ohio this week at $3.18 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.
Gas prices increased by nine cents this past week, with the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline rising to $3.25.
Several factors are driving the increase, including refinery maintenance and the switch to summer-blend gasoline, according to AAA.
The last time the national average reached $3.25 was in September, consistent with seasonal trends; however, current prices remain below those of this time last year. Today’s national average is 15 cents higher than it was a month ago but 34 cents lower than it was a year ago.
