Suspect turns himself in after Elyria police find fentanyl, crack cocaine, guns in bust

ELYRIA, Ohio (WOIO) - Elyria police say officers arrested a 33-year-old man last week following a drug bust.

Investigators say Roderick Cross Jr. turned himself in April 3 at the Elyria Police Department.

According to police, officers arrested Cross after searching two of his homes earlier that day.

Officers say during their search, they found two guns, fentanyl in the form of powder and pills, crack cocaine and a scale.

At one of the homes, a woman wanted by Westlake police was taken into custody, according to investigators.

According to police, Cross faces multiple felony drug charges and having weapons under disabilty.

“This investigation reflects our officers’ commitment to removing dangerous drugs from our community and keeping firearms out of the hands of individuals who are prohibited from possessing them.”
