42-year-old shot after ‘domestic disturbance’ in Elyria

ELYRIA, Ohio (WOIO) - A 42-year-old was shot after a “domestic disturbance” on Sunday.

According to a social media post from Elyria Police, the shooting happened on the 1000 block of Melvyn Lane just before 11:15 a.m. for a reported shooting

Police found the 24-year-old suspect involved and arrested them.

Later, a 42-year-old man arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound, according to a release from Elyria Police.

Police believe a domestic disturbance happened just before the shooting at the Melvyn Lane home.

The victim is currently in stable condition.

No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.
