2 drivers die in Stark County crash

STARK COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - Two drivers were killed in a head-on crash in Canton Saturday evening.

Canton Police said Christopher Siple Jr., 41, of Canton, was traveling at a very high rate of speed northbound on Wertz Avenue around 9:30 p.m.

Siple crashed into a driver of an Altima travelling southbound on Wertz Avenue, attempting to turn eastbound onto 4th Street NW, said police.

Siple was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Altima, Dai’sha Wise, 28, of Canton, died from her injuries at Aultman Hospital.

The Canton Metro Crash Team responded and is handling the investigation.
