Carlisle Township man arrested on drug and weapons charges
ELYRIA, Ohio (WOIO) - Elyria Police arrested a Carlisle Township man Friday on multiple drug and weapons charges.
According to a release, the Elyria Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, Investigative Unit, and Neighborhood Impact Unit (NIU)and the Lorain County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a home in the 41000 block of Oberlin-Elyria Road.
Police said the warrant was issued as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity.
Officers seized 2.3 ounces of crack cocaine, 21.9 ounces of marijuana, 6.6 grams of methamphetamine in pill form, 3 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, a loaded Taurus 740 semi-automatic handgun and a large amount of cash.
Authorities arrested 33-year-old Deandre Epps.

Epps is in custody at the Lorain County Jail with no bond pending his arraignment.
Epps was charged with the following:
- Trafficking in Drugs (Cocaine)
- Trafficking in Drugs with Juvenile Specification (Marijuana)
- Possession of Cocaine
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms
