Daughter hopeful $5K reward will lead to arrest in parents’ Cleveland murder case
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - What if you knew your last goodbye would be your final one?
“This is a question that always crosses my mind. If they were still here, what would I say?” asked Cheyenne Smith. “It sucks when someone is taken from you. You don’t know that last goodbye or conversation with them is your last”
That is a question that has crossed Cheyenne Smith’s mind nearly every day for the last seven years.
She’s wondered who shot and killed her dad and stepmom Michael and Julianne Fischbach back in 2018. Crime Stoppers is stepping up to hopefully track down their killer with a $5,000 reward.
Even though Smith has since moved to Washington and started her own family she still needs answers for her parents.
“My thought behind it is that it’s been several years and that maybe, possibly someone is now in a different situation that maybe this $5,000 can really help then and with the investigation” said Smith.
Cleveland police said they were both shot in the head.
Smith questions who would want to hurt her parents.
“Honestly, I don’t know. I don’t know who could have had something about them to do this” said Smith.
Hopefully $5,000 will help get that answered for Smith and her family. A reward that could finally bring justice
If you know any helpful information in the deadly shooting, please call Crime Stoppers, you can remain anonymous
