BROWNHELM TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - A Michigan woman was seriously hurt Tuesday morning in a crash with a semi-truck on the Ohio Turnpike.
The crash happened around 8:20 a.m. near milepost 137 in Lorain County.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a vehicle driven by a 54-year-old woman became disabled in the right lane.
A semi-truck then struck her vehicle from behind, sending it off the road into a guardrail, according to troopers.
The woman from Ann Arbor, Mich. is being treated for life-threatening injuries at MetroHealth in Cleveland.
Troopers say the semi-truck driver, a 51-year-old man from Hicksville, was not hurt.
The crash, which closed the Turnpike for about 40 minutes, remains under investigation.
