Teen identified after shooting death at Cleveland deli

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A teen was shot Friday evening at a deli in the North Shore Collinwood neighborhood.

According to Cleveland EMS, the victim was pronounced dead on scene at E 185th Deli after the shooting.

Officials were called to the scene around 7 p.m.

Councilman Michael Polensek told 19 News the victim was a 17-year-old boy. He said the shooting is believed to be targeted.

The 17-year-old was identified on Saturday as Jahari Stegall of Cleveland, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner.

Polensek is not sure if the shooting happened inside or outside the deli.

Cleveland Police did not give any information on the suspect(s) in the shooting.
