Donovan Mitchell wants to represent Panama in All-Star game

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Donovan Mitchell is headed to his 7th All-Star game but this time around he hopes one thing is different.

Mitchell told Andscape in a video diary that he wants to play for the World team in the new All-Star format, because his mother and grandmother are both from Panama.

In yet another format change, this year’s All-Star selections will be divided among three 8-man teams (2 U.S. and 1 World).

All-Star weekend is Feb. 13-15 in Los Angeles.
