73-year-old Toledo man sentenced for raping 6-year-old boy

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A Toledo man will spend at least a decade in prison after a victim told police of a rape that he says happened to him years ago.

George Harry Cundick II was sentenced to serve up to 15 years after admitting to performing oral sex on the victim when he was six years old. Judge Michael Goulding handed down the sentence.

Cundick pleaded guilty to the rape on Wednesday, withdrawing a previous plea of not guilty.

The incident allegedly occurred at Cundick’s apartment on the 2500 block of Seaman Road.

He was arrested on Sept. 11 and appeared in court on Friday, Sept. 12, where his bail was set at $100,000.

On Sept. 23, a Lucas County grand jury indicted Cundick II for rape.
